2026 Announcement

2015 to 2025 were great sailing years! In the 2015 I went on a training cruise from

Cape Town, South Africa
to Fernando de Noronha, Brazil

in September-October.


From 2016, to 2025 I instructed here on the west coast.

I am going to be instructing and skippering in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island in the spring, summer, and fall of 2026,

Although the risk is much diminished, there is still a COVID19 plan.

 If you show symptoms of COVID19 prior to your sailing you must call Plain Sailing at 250 797 6989, and inform us as soon as possible. We will re-schedule at some future, symptom free time. We are taking additional measures on board to reduce any risk of transmission. 
• Day courses with a maximum of 4 students, plus one instructor.
• If students and instructors follow these measures, we will be able to safely continue instruction. We will update and re-distribute this page, and the release, as necessary to reflect changing situations and guidelines from government and health authorities.
